Job Description

As a member of a sales team, the sales professional is responsible for new business development, account implementation, and maintaining and deepening customer relationships within a defined geographic territory specific to LTL business.

Essential Functions:

1. Develops new business by identifying potential customers, growing revenue, conducting background research, analyzing customer needs, and developing LTL solutions.


2. Maintains existing business by understanding the customer's business and supply chain through research, customer interaction, and collaboration with sales and support teams.


3. Coordinates with internal teams such as sales, operations, and other partners to ensure a seamless customer experience and a holistic view of customer needs.


4. Manages and executes strategies to meet quarterly goals.


5. Leverages technology tools like internal systems, mobile devices, and Microsoft Office Suite.


6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or two (2) years of B2B sales experience. Two (2) years of LTL or FedEx B2B sales experience required. Ability to travel overnight is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in transportation or LTL is preferred.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and Salesforce.


• Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills, discipline, and adaptability in a team environment.


• Mid-level negotiation skills to offer fair, market-based pricing within company parameters.


• Ability to collaborate with the local operations team.

Preferred Qualifications:

B2B Sales Experience, LTL/Freight Experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $51,975 - $98,250. This is a face-to-face sales role with a hybrid work schedule. Preferred location is San Diego, CA, but other locations within a 50-mile radius may be considered. The company offers health, vision, dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.
