General Description and Classification Standards Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, this role directs multiple commercial Airport business units, including Airline Affairs/Commercial Property Management, Commercial Real Estate, Air Service Development, and International Business Affairs. This position is responsible for the day-to-day direction and strategic planning of assigned units, managing budgets, establishing processes to maintain efficiency, and contributing to Airport policies and strategic plans. This senior role in the Hartsfield-Jackson executive leadership structure provides guidance and expertise across multiple commercial functions, overseeing several director or manager-level positions. Supervision Received Guidance is general, focusing on both immediate and strategic objectives. This is a policy-advisory management level. Essential Duties & Responsibilities These responsibilities are typical and not exhaustive: Lead assigned functions through subordinate directors and managers in Airline Affairs/Commercial Property Management, Commercial Real Estate, Air Service Development, and International Business Affairs. Collaborate with peers in the Commercial Revenue Division, including Parking, Concessions, Non-Traditional Concessions/Special Programs, and Marketing/Brand Strategy. Develop and implement operational plans, budgets, strategic plans, and policies for stakeholders. Build relationships with key stakeholders, including the General Manager, Mayor's Office, and City Council. Manage leadership talent, providing guidance, coaching, and development for future leaders. Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies. Establish relationships with Airport leadership, regulators, stakeholders, and local governments. Participate as a senior management team member, contributing to strategic, business, and financial planning.
