Viva Art in Jeffersonville, IN is looking for one art instructor to join our 12 person strong team. We are located on 300 Spring Street, Suite 1A. Our ideal candidate is someone with artistic skills, who is outgoing, motivated, hard-working. with a flexible schedule. We have classes Tuesday - Friday in the evenings, day and evening classes on Saturdays, and daytime classes on Sundays. Shifts are 4-5 hours in length and primarily in the evenings and on weekends. We do occasionally have some daytime shifts for off sites, private parties, and school breaks. All our artists are part-time, with usually 1-4 shifts per week, depending on the artist's availability and how many private events we have scheduled on a weekly basis. Responsibilities Teaching In-studio public painting classes Teaching In-studio private parties Assisting instructors with in-studio classes Assisting with Off Site painting events Preparing for and cleaning up after painting shifts Studio cleanup and light maintenance Qualifications Outgoing Ability to speak in public and lead a group Artistic skills and painting experience Ability to work well with a team Teaching experience is a plus, but not required Either has an Indiana Alcohol Servers permit, or is willing and able to obtain one.
