Demonstrates proficiency with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures. This position performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently. + Performs a range of technical procedures to support physician's diagnosis + Appropriately acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician + Reviews physician order to verify appropriateness for order being performed + Retrieve studies from PACS for review + Assures accuracy data for clinical reports, demographics and billing information for physician reports **Qualifications** **Education** + High school diploma or GED required + Graduation from a CAAHEP or other accredited diagnostic ultrasound program required or 5 years of diagnostic ultrasound experience required **Experience** + 1 year of experience in the field preferred **Licenses/Certification** + Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required + Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) preferred **Req ID** : 10038 **Working Title** : Cardio Sonographer I (Per Diem) - Cardiology - Los Angeles **Department** : Cardiology - Towers **Business Entity** : Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation **Job Category** : Imaging **Job Specialty** : Diagnostic Imaging **Overtime Status** : NONEXEMPT **Primary Shift** : Day **Shift Duration** : 8 hour **Base Pay** : $37.49 - $58.11 Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
