Whitson Plumbing and Electric , a subsidiary of Clear Cloud Solutions Inc, is a fast-growing Plumbing, Electric, Construction, and Security Systems Integration company headquartered in Southern California. We specialize in the commercial, industrial, and government sectors.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Field Supervisor/Equipment Operator to oversee daily operations at our construction sites while also operating heavy equipment as needed. This dual-role position requires a hands-on leader with strong supervisory skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and expertise in operating machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators on-site.
• Operate heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, backhoes, graders, etc.) to support project needs.
• Plan and assign daily tasks, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
• Monitor project progress, enforce safety protocols, and address issues promptly.
• Interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications to guide work and ensure compliance.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members to provide updates and resolve challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, hours logged, and materials used.
• Ensure all activities comply with OSHA regulations, company policies, and local laws.

Qualifications:

• years of experience in construction and/or heavy equipment operation.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid certifications/licenses for operating heavy equipment (e.g., NCCCO, OSHA 10/30, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Physical stamina to operate equipment and perform fieldwork in various weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

• Experience with specific equipment (e.g., skid steers, cranes, forklifts).
• Familiarity with GPS or machine control systems for precision grading/excavation.
• Background in [specific type of construction, e.g., roadwork, residential, commercial].
