Job Summary:

West Penn Energy Services LLC is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Facility Construction Equipment Operator to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis . This role involves operating a variety of heavy equipment to support the construction, maintenance, and repair of natural gas facilities , including compressor stations, meter stations, and related infrastructure . The position will be based in the Pennsylvania region but requires overnight travel while on projects . The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality standards .

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, backhoes, and loaders to perform earthmoving, grading, trenching, and material handling.
• Assist in the construction and maintenance of facility infrastructure , including foundation work, trench excavation, site prep, and backfilling .
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
• Follow company and regulatory safety procedures , including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and boots.
• Work closely with site supervisors and laborers to ensure efficient and precise execution of construction tasks .
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any on-site issues .
• Assist with site cleanup and restoration to meet environmental and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Project Manager .

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in facility construction, industrial construction, or pipeline work (required).
• Ability to read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and job specifications .
• Understanding of grading, excavation, backfilling, and compaction techniques .
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions .
• Willingness to travel overnight for extended periods while on a project.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (CDL preferred but not required).
• Certifications in equipment operation and safety training (e.g., OSHA 10/30, NCCER,PEC) (preferred).

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor and industrial work environments in diverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain .
• Remote job site work , including overnight travel during projects.
• Physically demanding tasks , such as climbing, lifting, and long hours of equipment operation.
• Extended hours and overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly .
• Must be able to sit and operate equipment for extended periods .
• Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and at varying heights .
• Must be capable of performing manual labor when required .
