Experience and Education: Must an in-depth knowledge of structured cabling Knowledge of IEEE and BICSI cabling standards Must have a basic knowledge of networking and network troubleshooting Requirements: Previous experience working in a relevant role within a data center environment 5 yrs experience with the following: Fiber Optic cabling installation, inspection and cleaning (80% = SM; less than 20% MM) Fiber: pairing 96 to 128 strands Copper cable termination and certification (CAT 6) Knowledge of IEEE and BICSI cabling standards Experience with Fluke Versiv Mainframe Cable patching between devices Installing and decommissioning Racks & network devices Physical layer (also known as Layer 1) troubleshooting Equipment disposal activities Must be willing to work shift work which includes nights and weekends LanceSoft
